Introduction The use of hallucinogens has accompanied the human being throughout history. In 1970s, studies focused on therapeutic potential were blocked due to their misuse in young population. At present, psilocybin is re-emerging as center attention its possible different psychiatric pathologies such depression, anxiety or substance use. Objectives main objective this work been review recent drug-resistant depressive disorder. Methods For search for articles, strategy “psilocybin AND depression” was established PUBMED. Regarding inclusion criteria, it that they Spanish English and full text freely accessible. On other hand, those articles whose did not focus humans resistant disorder excluded. A total 19 obtained review. Results Focusing Drug-Resistant Depressive Disorder, multiple have agreed administration one two microdoses (10-25mg) by psychotherapy improves clinical picture at least 6 months. These results make us feel optimistic new treatments field mental health. Conclusions Psilocybin associated with symptoms a patient common antidepressants. response terms improvement persists after months evolution.
